From the supplier: Insurance agents have started grass roots political campaigns and the health insurance industry plans to spend $1.7 million in attempts to eliminate portions of Pres Bill Clinton's proposed health care reform program that they believe are injurious. The Health Insurance Assn of America, representing the health insurance industry, opposes a proposal to create regional groups to select the health care plans, since it would restrict competition. Two agent groups, the National Assn of Life Underwriters and the Assn of Health Insurance Agents will protest what they view as the elimination of agents in the health insurance process.
