From the supplier: Insurers are pleased with the final version of the Kassebaum-Kennedy health insurance reform legislation which offers them tax relief for long-term care coverage. The inclusion of this provision in the the bill is seen as a victory for insurance industry lobbyists who lobbied for it for many years. Among other things, the bill allows insurers to consider long-term care reserves as life insurance reserves for tax purposes.
